This years 34th IronMan is sponsored by Ford and is being held in Kona, Hawaii. The Ironman is one of the Worlds popular endurance events but to qualify serious contenders (Over 50,000 triathletes) have to get through 28 qualifying events!

The Ironman has the triathlon 2.4 mile swim followed by a 112 mile bike ride and finally a 26.2 mile run! Despite the name of the event it is also open to women!
